Spot Bitcoin ETFs Log Record Weekly Inflows as Allocators Pile In
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded their largest-ever week of net inflows, surpassing $3.2 billion in a single trading week. The surge was led by institutional allocators, including state pension funds and registered investment advisors (RIAs), who have been steadily increasing their digital asset allocations throughout the quarter.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) continued to dominate flows, accounting for nearly 45% of all net new investments. Fidelity's FBTC and Grayscale's GBTC also saw significant inflows, though at a slower pace. The data suggests a broadening base of institutional interest rather than concentration in a single product.
Market analysts point to several catalysts behind the record week. A favorable regulatory environment, combined with Bitcoin's price stability above key support levels, has given conservative allocators the confidence to enter positions. Additionally, several large wealth management platforms added Bitcoin ETFs to their model portfolios this month.
The inflow data stands in stark contrast to the outflow patterns seen in early 2025, when institutional uncertainty around regulatory direction caused many funds to reduce exposure. The reversal underscores a significant shift in sentiment among traditional finance players.
Looking ahead, analysts at Bloomberg Intelligence project that cumulative ETF inflows could reach $50 billion by year-end if current momentum holds. The question is no longer whether institutional money will flow into Bitcoin products, but how quickly the remaining allocators will follow.
